Does anyone know of specific oils(for aroma lamp) to help mental focus and strengthen concentration? That not only has a pleasant scent but is safe to be used around pets?

Thanks Joy, I have never used it,do you know of any health warnings, like possible allergic reactions or complications if one were to use this oil? Some oils I have avoided in the past because they had an adverse effect on my mood or caused an reaction.Or simply was exremely repulsive and made me feel jittery. Rosewood was that way, nutmeg is another. So is geranium.I love the smell of them, but they don't love me!

Becareful on the concentration you use. For example a low concentration of lavender (5-10% dilution) can help you relax and sleep. However, a high concentration can be more of a mental stimulate.

I would suggest sweet orange essential oil, diluted at 5% with a carrier oil. It's quite pleasant and I haven't noticed any adverse effects when used around pets.

Geranium has always brought headaches to me as it's very strong. Go for something more subtle like rose otto, but that's quite expensive.
