I'm new to the art of aromatherapy and have only experimented with aromas by using my intuition (and a little common "new age" sense). Can anyone recommend any comprehensive/practical books on the subject?

Re: Books on Aromatherapy?
Sun, July 6, 2008 - 3:41 PMI would highly recommend the books by Valerie Ann Worwoods. Start with Fragrant Pharmacy and if you're into something a bit more new age, move into Fragrant Mind or Fragrant Heavens. Hope that helps and happy reading! :)

Re: Books on Aromatherapy?
Wed, July 15, 2009 - 4:49 PMHello,
If you want to use aromatherapy you should get "the encyclopedia of essential oils" by Julia Lawless. It gives you everything from uses, properities, and safety information about the most commonly used essential oils as well as some uncommon ones. Remember, just because it is natural does not mean it is not dangerous if used carelessly.
