Fri, April 27, 2007 - 5:00 PMI'm not a big Aura Cacia fan personally. Try www.floracopeia.com - cool people with great products that are reasonably priced.
Happy aromas!

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Sat, May 5, 2007 - 3:22 PMHi, I am a clinical aromatherapist and use oils in my private practice. I have been using Young Living oils for the past two years and have not found a purer or higher grade oil for therapeutic use anywhere. They are truly living substances. I have seen so much healing occur with their support. Personally, I would use no other brand. When you put a YL oil next to another brand of the same oil, you can really tell the difference. Best, Satori

Wed, May 16, 2007 - 12:46 PMBeware the ides of Multi-Level Marketing scams ...
YL distributors and their "master" Gary Young are among the worst ...
A real black eye to the cause of legitimizing the use of Essential oils and Aromatherapy
as bona-fide health care options.

Do your own research when seeking EO suppliers ...
ask for GCMS results of any oils you order
and what INDEPENDANT Laboratory conducted the research.
Any reputable company will have no issues with
A) providing the requested information
B) having a non-affiliated lab conduct the GCMS to prove non-tampering
G`Luck with your search. -

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Tue, April 14, 2009 - 10:44 PMMy first introduction to essential oils was the YL products and I invested in several before exploring other brands. I do believe that they have a good product and a lot of good information but like so many others, I am repulsed by the marketing technique. Recently bought the "Reference Guide For Essential Oils" by Connie and Alan Higley and feel that half of the book reads like a mere catalog for YL.
I am interested in your reference to GCMS results. How can one verify the validity of any such claims?
I have bought oils from 100pureessentialoils.com who indicate "Our essential oils are internationally certified, and meet all ISO Standards for Quality. Internationally Certified Oils mean that our oils meet International Specifications and Quality Standards. We have a certificate of analysis performed for each essential oil received internationally, to ensure that the oils are pure, and meet odor, gravity, rotation and other property specifications acceptable for each essential oil. Our essential oils are also ISO Certified and meet strict ISO standards for quality."
The first time I ordered from them I was elated with the oils, one being a sample of ylang ylang. The second order included the purchase of a larger bottle which was markedly different than the first... not bad, but definitely different. That inconsistency has me concerned. Do you think that is indicative of poor quality? I would be surprised, as I said the first ordered oils were very effective.
I am glad to see so many other people exploring alternatives. Gary Young has gotten entirely too big for his britches but the cult followers who have vested inventory would do well to consider that he is NOT going to get any "too big to fail" bail-out when people refuse to pay the outrageous prices.

So,I ended up not getting any of those brands
after reading posts and doing online research
Aura Cacia and Now seemed like not soo great products
Simplers and Oshadhi were pricey(theyre cheap if you had a wholesale license)
and dont know much about the Essential oil company(a friend of mine likes their oils)
I'm getting most of my oils from whitelotusaromatics, mountainroseherbs and a small order from liberty natural

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Fri, November 30, 2007 - 8:49 AMHow about making your own? Then you can be assured of quality and you know exactly what's in your oil.
You can get equipment online:
www.heartmagic.com/Essentia...ller.html
And then grow or source your own organic primary ingredients (herbs, etc).
These are pure steam distillers which prevents the plant material from getting overheated and ruining the oils. The folks on this site also have a lot of knowledge and experience, and may be able to recommend you to good suppliers who distill pure oils if you still want to just buy some.
Of course not everyone can set up their own little lab at home, but if you can this is very cool.
Good luck!

Sun, January 6, 2008 - 9:36 AMI really resonate with Oshadi oils, plus they made without the use of electromagnetic machinery so it doesn't mess with the vibrational integrity of the oils.
I use what I'm drawn to... -

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 2:53 AMI use only organic oils or wild harvested oils in my practice. Everything is tested for pesticides and chemicals. Many mainstream companies claim to be "pure" but are not. I am not a fan of Aura Cacia at all, and something about Young Living just never resonated with me. I also believe in oils that are harvested ethically and crafted with love. Some of my favorite places to buy from are White Lotus Aromatics www.whitelotusaromatics.com(they have amazing pure incense), Mountain Rose Herbs www.mountainroseherbs.com, Ascentsworth Essential Oils, www.ascentsworth.com. I have studied these sites and talked with other friends about thesesellers. I also have drilled some of the owners as to where they came from, how they were crafted, and tested. Haha...I'm sure I've exhausted them, but I need to know what I put on my clients and myself are of the purest state.

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 11:36 AMwww.aromaticsinternational.com/ These oils are imported by a clinical aromatherapist and licensed massage therapist. She has all her oils tested by a third party lab and you can download the gc/ms reports for free before purchasing.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

Re: Good Quality Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils??
Wed, July 15, 2009 - 4:53 PMHi,
I have been using mountain rose herb products for the past five years and they are quite good as well as affordable. Also, try organic infusions, they have high quality products and they are also a member of the aromatic plant project and are fair trade certified.
good luck.
